MapCreator is currently seeking an energetic and passionate Marketing Intern to join our team. Located in central Eindhoven, MapCreator provides mapping services that make mapmaking easy, fast and accessible for every business and organization. Our flagship Maps4News is an online mapping platform used by journalists, news organizations and press agencies. A large number of news organizations around the world use our platform and we are growing fast.

The marketing Intern is responsible for setting up all kinds of marketing actions such as social media, market research, digital marketing, driving traffic to our website and many other actions to grow the business. Together with the rest of our marketing team, as well as our international agents located in various countries across the world, you oversee the marketing and operations of our online mapping tool.

Tasks:

• Taking part in shaping our products on the operations/content side while providing relevant insights for our core markets.
• Understanding the news media community through intense research.
• Develop strategic content plans for Maps4News’ social media presence.
• Operate different campaigns to trigger user engagement and measure their success.
• Gather and analyze user feedback about our product and forward this to the operation teams.
• Assist with collation of promotional literature, event’s, maintaining email newsletters, managing online galleries, and more.

Skills & requirements:

• Interest and motivation in the world of news media, maps, infographics and news design.
• You are a student (Bachelor/Master level) in the field of (online)marketing/communication or already have work experience in this field.
• Candidate must be flexible and can come with new initiatives.
• Excellent research skills.
• Experience with social media.
• German native speaker.
• You will be working in an international team, so English is a must (speaking and writing).
